We pledge to help one million UK workers pass Stanford University's financial literacy test
Stanford University's 'Big Three' financial literacy test is used by the OECD as a gold standard for measuring people's understanding of the core concepts needed to manage money, build wealth, and plan for a financially secure future.
After engaging with our educational tools, Stream members will be prompted to take the test directly in the app. It is short, it is free, and it gives you a clear picture of where you stand with money today.
Taking the test is only the beginning. These new tools are built to help your employees understand their results - and do something about them.
Now more powerful than ever, Stream's Coach draws on each employee's unique financial situation, their past interactions, and their individual goals to help them make better financial decisions every day. They can ask it anything; from how to start saving, to what to do when an unexpected bill arrives. Coach gives truly personalised guidance, not a generic answer designed for everyone.

Learn includes 150 lessons covering key financial topics and life milestones, from building an emergency fund to managing money as a couple or preparing to have a child. Lessons are short, practical, and personalised to each employee's situation, so they are always working on what matters most to them right now.

The UK Government's MoneyHelper tools are built into the Stream app. Employees can use the quick cash finder to identify ways to free up money, or the child cost calculator to plan ahead for one of life's biggest financial moments, without ever leaving the app.

The current macroeconomic environment is driving up costs for fuel, food, and everyday essentials. Financial stress does not stay at home, it follows people into work. And without the knowledge to navigate it, even the best tools can only go so far.

When your people feel more in control of their money, they show up differently.
Only 31% of employers can currently link the benefits they offer to business outcomes, according to CIPD research. That makes it hard to know what is working, and harder to justify continued investment in your people.
Stream gives you that visibility. Through the employer portal, you can see how engagement with Stream's financial tools connects directly to retention, turnover, and tenure. The impact on your business is measurable, not assumed.

Stream is calling on the Government to set a measurable national target for adult financial literacy.
National targets already exist to improve financial education among children and young people, but there is no equivalent for the millions of working-age adults managing mortgages, debt, rising costs, and retirement decisions right now. The tools to support workers are here. The commitment to reach everyone should match that ambition.
The workplace is the most powerful distribution channel we have for reaching adults at scale. Employers can act today, and many are. But a national target would give that effort the urgency and accountability it deserves.
“Most adults never received this education at school. These tools are already helping our members to feel in control of their money.”
