You’d be joining a team of over 200 passionate, ambitious people - across the UK, Europe and US - building a category-leading FinTech product with the mission to improve the lives of millions.
The Opportunity:
This isn’t a traditional PM role. You will be the second in command to the US VP, Product and the person responsible for owning, shipping, and localising Stream’s net-new products in the US market - from Wealth and flexible pay to AI-powered financial tools built specifically for frontline and everyday workers.
Stream’s US business is growing fast. The right person for this role will look at it and see not just a great job, but a seat at the table as this business scales toward its next chapter as a US leading workplace finance provider.
The Team:
You’ll work directly with a US engineering team of eight, leading the product function with real autonomy. You’ll set the roadmap direction, drive MVPs from idea to launch at pace, and make the kind of decisions that matter. We’re not looking for someone who executes a vision handed to them. We’re looking for someone who has a vision of their own - and the conviction to ship it.
What will you be doing?
• Own the product roadmap for Stream’s US diversifying product suite, including Wealth, FlexPay, Benefits, and a pipeline of net-new AI-powered products designed for everyday workers.
• Lead the end-to-end launch of Stream’s first net-new products in the US market (more details to be shared) - from discovery and scoping to MVP, iteration, and scale.
• Work hands-on with the US engineering team to ship at high velocity, keeping things moving across time zones with clarity and urgency.
• Conduct deep consumer research to understand how frontline workers think about money, navigate benefits, and make financial decisions - and translate that into product.
• Explore AI-powered use cases for Stream’s audience: people who are currently underserved by the wave of AI tools being built for knowledge workers.
• Be the voice of the consumer inside the product team, pushing back on ideas that don’t serve the people we’re building for.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with US Analytics, Partnership Marketing, and other product teams to align on priorities and land products that work end-to-end.
• In time, build out the US product function - with line management of a Product Associate as the team grows.
What experience might you have? (But if you’re close… we'd still love to talk to you!)
• Years of product management experience, ideally in consumer-facing, regulated tech or fintech (but that’s not essential)
• A track record of shipping products that people actually use - not just managing roadmaps.
• Experience working in or with scale-ups: comfortable with ambiguity, fast cycles, and doing more with less.
• Genuine context around the US socio-economic landscape and the financial challenges facing low-income and frontline workers (benefits, credit, SNAP, and beyond).
The builder mentality
• You’ve used AI tools (Cursor, Codex, Gemini, or similar) to build and ship real things - whether professionally or on your own time. An MVP you’ve vibe-coded in an evening matters more to us than a perfect PRD.
• You think about distribution and adoption from day one, not as an afterthought. How does the product reach the right person, at the right moment in their life?
• You’re technically comfortable enough to earn the respect of an engineering team and have an intelligent conversation about how something gets built.
The mindset
• You have opinions on design and consumer UX - strong ones - and you’re not afraid to voice them, even when it means pushing back on your manager.
• You care about social impact in a way that goes beyond values-on-a-wall. You’re genuinely interested in how financial products can move someone’s life forward.
• You’re ambitious and a little restless. You’re not looking for a job; you’re looking for a platform. When you hear that the person above you is grooming their own successor, your eyes light up.
• You don’t wait to be told what to do. You show up to meetings with a point of view and leave with the room aligned.
